WINNIPEG – May 16, 2019 – FarmLink is proud to announce the return of Grain World Crop Tour for the second consecutive year, July 30 to August 1, 2019. The Grain World Crop Tour provides farmers, industry members and the agricultural community with the opportunity to learn more about prairie crops and market positions for the 2019 season.
Scouts will be departing from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta and make their way to Regina, visiting fields along the way to observe crop conditions and estimates.
Market advisors, analysts, farmers and industry leaders will meet to present their findings and discuss the grain markets in Canada and across the globe. The data they collect is critical in building supply and demand tables that are used for analyzing markets.
“There can be a gap in information during the growing season. The Crop Tour’s goal is to try and fill that information gap for farmers and industry participants,” says Alyssa Mistelbacher, Grain World Crop Tour co-organizer and market analyst at FarmLink Marketing Solutions. “The data we'll collect is critical in building supply and demand tables that will be used to analyze markets and make important sales decisions.”
“We are dedicated to helping growers continue to innovate. As a trusted retail partner, we do this by creating opportunities to explore new products, services and technologies first-hand,” says Roger Bortis, Canadian Retail Manager at Nutrien Ag Solutions. “That’s why supporting ‘boots on the ground’ events like the Grain World Crop Tour is so important to us.”
The tour will conclude in Regina on August 1, 2019, with a morning seminar presenting at-yield results, market insights and upcoming weather outlooks. Speakers include Lachie Stevens from Lachstock Consulting, Neil Townsend and Jon Driedger, market analysts from FarmLink Marketing Solutions as well as Drew Lerner, founder, president and senior agricultural meteorologist at World Weather Inc.
Crop Tour registration is now open and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
