Kevin C. Garinger lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. He is the CEO/Director of Education, for a geographically large school division where the central office is located in Humboldt. Kevin was born in Flin Flon, MB and grew up in northern Saskatchewan and Alberta and has been a teacher, a principal, and an associate superintendent in the three provinces prior to his current role. He has three adult boys and is the proud grandfather of baby, Kyla Lee.

In August 2017, Kevin began working on his doctoral degree in the field of educational leadership and continues to pursue his degree. He began his relationship with the Broncos as a season ticket holder, a board member, and finally a tenure as President of the Humboldt Broncos.

In the aftermath of the Broncos’ bus tragedy, Kevin became the recognizable face and the calming voice of the Broncos’ organization. His life experiences helped guide the volunteer board, team, and community through one of the most difficult times in any organization’s history. Although suffering from the loss of his own billet son and so many others he was close to, he put his grief aside to focus his energy toward supporting the 29 families impacted by the crash. His goal to help families was nearly equalled by his desire to provide the necessary leadership for the rebuilding of the community hockey club. Kevin continues to be the face of the tragedy and is recognized worldwide for his leadership during that difficult time.
